This dissertation presents a comprehensive analysis of corporate governance practices in three major regions: Asia, Europe, and North America, focusing on the specific cases of Japan, India, the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, and Canada. The study explores the historical evolution, regulatory frameworks, and unique governance structures within each region, emphasizing the impact of cultural, economic, and legal contexts on governance practices. Through a detailed comparative approach, the research identifies both common challenges and exemplary practices in corporate governance, providing a nuanced understanding of how diverse governance models can coexist and shape the global business environment. Key findings suggest that while each region has developed distinct mechanisms to address governance issues, there are significant opportunities for cross-regional learning and integration to enhance transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagement in corporate governance practices.
