My thesis aims to evaluate the impact of banking regulatory measures implemented after the 2007-2009 financial crisis. My goal is to assess their effectiveness in mitigating risks and preventing a recurrence of a similar crisis. To do so, I try to understand how such regulations had been able to respond to the COVID-19 crisis, with a particular focus on the dividends' restriction policy.
