Diritti dell'Infanzia nella relazione terapeutica in ospedale

In the present work the attention is focused on the role of children in the therapeutic relationship in the hospital and how it has changed with time and how they acquire more and more agency. Over the years, thanks to the increasing international sensibility (and international law) the first steps began to be taken towards the arduous and long path of the recognition of children’s rights. With regard to the new vision of childhood, agency and the participation of children in relationships and in all those contexts that concern him, is here declined in the specialty of the pediatric and the therapeutic relationship that is established between patient and doctor. Recognizing the patient as a dialogical interlocutor, which is fundamental to consider concerns, opinions, beliefs and choices in order to choose the most functional therapeutic approaches, also taking into account the relapses, at the social level and the possible implications within its daily life. Going to analyze specifically the entry into the hospital and the period of hospitalization you can understand how these two moments become for the child new situations, to which he must adapt, both from a physical and psychological point of view and it is precisely on this and on the inclusion of the figure of the psychologist in this context that this work puts its focus.

Nel presente lavoro viene focalizzata l'attenzione sul ruolo dei bimbi nella relazione terapeutica in ambito ospedaliero e di come è cambiato con il tempo e di come essi acquisiscano sempre maggior agency. Negli anni, fu grazie alla sempre maggiore sensibilità internazionale (e al diritto internazionale) che si iniziarono a muovere i primi passi verso il faticoso e lungo cammino del riconoscimento dei diritti dei bambini. Per quanto concerne la nuova visione dell’infanzia, dell’agency e della partecipazione dei minori nelle relazioni e in tutti quei contesti che lo riguardano, è in questa sede declinato nella specialità dell’ambito pediatrico e della relazione terapeutica che si instaura tra paziente e medico. Riconoscere il paziente in qualità di interlocutore dialogico, del quale è fondamentale considerare preoccupazioni, opinioni, credenze e scelte al fine di poter scegliere gli approcci terapeutici più funzionali, anche tenendo conto delle ricadute, a livello sociale e dei risvolti possibili all’interno della sua quotidianità. Andando ad analizzare nello specifico l’ingresso in ospedale ed il periodo di ricovero si comprende come questi due momenti diventino per il bambino delle situazioni nuove, alle quali deve adattarsi, sia da un punto di vista fisico che psicologico ed è proprio su questo e sull'inserimento della figura dello psicologo in tale contesto che si sofferma tale lavoro.
