Analisi comparativa dei sistemi di affidamento negli Stati Uniti e in Georgia

This study aims to compare the work of the foster care system in the USA and Georgia by exploring the historical context of the development of child protection facilities in these countries, main legislations, and all processes during a child’s stay in the foster care system, such as separation of a child with his/her parents, recruitment of foster parents, reunification of a child with his/her parents, adoption, and aging out. This work also provides a compari- son of legislative frameworks of the foster care system in the USA and Georgia and identifies the main challenges of child protection services in these countries.
