Il concetto di sventura nel pensiero di Simone Weil

The main theme of the present essay is to depict the concept of misfortune that, covering the whole scope of human suffering, in the weilian speculation acquires a highly metaphysical insight. Simone Weil focuses on the apparent incompatibility between the condition of misfortune and pure love, the true revelation of God’s Creation. Her consideration is based on the structure of a philosophical system centered on a metaphysical and theological thought, through the method and the main concepts of Neoplatonism.

La presente tesi si propone di analizzare il concetto di sventura che, definendo l’intero spettro della sofferenza umana, nella speculazione weiliana assume una notevole portata metafisica. Simone Weil si sofferma sull’apparente incompatibilità tra la condizione di sventura e l’amore puro, forma che riveste la manifestazione del principio primo della divinità nella creazione. La riflessione si svolge in base alla struttura di un sistema filosofico improntato su una concezione metafisico-teologica, attraverso il metodo ermeneutico e i principali concetti del neoplatonismo.
