Evidence-based statistics on linear economy and polluting industrial practices in the EU proved that by implementing new virtuous, sustainable and traceable processes it is possible to reduce waste as well as produce wealth and, last but not least, develop virtuous behaviours in the economic actors of the food and textile industries. As a result, EU policy makers started a series of research studies that led to funding new initiatives to propose smart solutions to this problem, among which the TRICK project. This project promotes circular economy by emphasizing the advantages for stakeholders when particular quality criteria are satisfied in the whole “from cradle-to- cradle” chain in goods production, transportation and delivery from one EU member State to another; in the meantime, it envisage to create a smart and user-friendly way to accomplish duty requirements. The aim of this work is to study the regulatory framework concerning the whole process, by analysing in particular the Preferential Certificate of Origin (PCO) and its importance in the TRICK project. Specifically, this study led to designing the user interface of the PCO in order to make the digitalization of documents by customs operators and the public in general user- friendly and boost a widespread use of this new technology, in view of the reduction of red tape obligations for customs services and the provision of a helping tool in combating counterfeiting. To sum up, the concluding remarks are devoted to the lessons learned in the whole process, through data collection and analysis and design of PCO frameworks.

Abstract
To sum up, the concluding remarks are devoted to the lessons learned in the whole process, through data collection and analysis and design of PCO frameworks.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
