Rilievo geomeccanico su affioramenti lungo i torrenti Tanarello e Negrone (Alta Val Tanaro)

The survey in Alta Val Tanaro, in the municipality of Ormea, was carried out as part of the preliminary study for the construction of weirs in the area upstream of Ormea for the mitigation of geo-hydrological risk in Alta Val Tanaro. The geotechnical survey, processing and representation of the data on discontinuities, collected at the two sites indicated for the construction of the barrages, were carried out according to the methodologies set out by the ISRM, in Suggested methods for the quantitative descriptions of discontinuities in rock masses 1977. From the orientation and spacing data collected on the ground, families were identified and their spacing and frequency described in this work. It was also determined that the two sites are located in two different domains. The processing and representation of the orientations by means of stereograms was done using Rocsience's Dips software. The spacing was represented by means of histograms, while the frequency information is displayed in tables divided into family groups and sets.
