Il fenomeno dell'homelessness tra rappresentazione stigmatizzante e possibilità d'intervento

After having traced the main characteristics of the phenomenon of homeless people in Italy, the essay seeks to shed light on this phenomenon which is often represented through a distorted and stereotyped image. A misleading reading that fuels a series of choices and interventions not in line with current needs. In a subsequent moment, the attention shifts to the implementation of services in the Piedmontese territory useful for tackling serious marginalization, also taking into account how much they have an ambivalent role while strengthening, at the same time, the stigmatizing aspect of the homeless.

Dopo aver tracciato le caratteristiche principali del fenomeno delle persone senza dimora in Italia, l'elaborato cerca di far luce su questo fenomeno che spesso viene rappresentato attraverso un'immagine distorta e stereotipata. Una lettura fuorviante che alimenta una serie di scelte e di interventi non in linea con i bisogni correnti. In un successivo momento, l'attenzione si sposta sull'implementazione dei servizi nel territorio piemontese utili a fronteggiare la grave emarginazione tenendo conto anche di quanto gli stessi abbiano un ruolo ambivalente rafforzando, allo stesso tempo, l’aspetto stigmatizzante dei senza dimora.
