Analisi e proposta di traduzione del fumetto Ferdinand der Reporterhund 3 di Flix e Ruthe

As a complex and multimodal art form, comics represent fertile ground for analysis and translation. In this thesis, we aim to explore the specificity of comic language and the challenges involved in its translation, focusing on the case study of Ferdinand der Reporterhund 3 by Flix and Ruthe. The methodology adopted is divided into several stages: the first of which involved the conduct of a thorough theoretical research, then the focus was on the analysis of the text, after that, the biography of the authors was explored in depth, and finally, in the final stage, the work presents the translation of four chapters of the original text, enriched by a meticulous analysis with the aim of highlighting the deeper meanings and various peculiarities. Until now, there is still no translation and critical analysis of this text in Italian. Therefore, this work aims to offer the first translation into Italian, accompanied by an in-depth analysis. In addition, this thesis offers an in-depth look at the specific textual typology of the comic strip, which constitutes a very interested case study: its multimodal language presents specific translation challenges that require in-depth analysis. The present work therefore aims first and foremost to make a contribution to the knowledge and appreciation of the text Ferdinand der Reporterhund, and that the results obtained and the analyses conducted may be useful for future research and a better understanding of this text.

Il fumetto, in quanto forma d’arte complessa e multimodale, rappresenta un terreno fertile per l’analisi e la traduzione. In questa tesi, ci si propone di esplorare la specificità del linguaggio fumettistico e le sfide che la sua traduzione comporta, focalizzandosi sul caso di studio di Ferdinand der Reporterhund 3 di Flix e Ruthe. La metodologia adottata si articola in diverse fasi: la prima delle quali ha visto lo svolgimento di un’accurata ricerca teorica, successivamente l’attenzione si è focalizzata sull’analisi del testo, in seguito si è proceduto all’approfondimento della biografia degli autori e infine, nella fase conclusiva, il lavoro presenta la traduzione di quattro capitoli del testo originale, arricchita da un’analisi minuziosa con l’obiettivo di mettere in luce i significati più profondi e le varie peculiarità. Ad oggi, in italiano non esiste ancora una traduzione e un’analisi critica del testo in oggetto. Il presente lavoro si propone quindi di offrire la prima traduzione in italiano, accompagnata da un’analisi approfondita. Inoltre, questa tesi offre un approfondimento sulla specifica tipologia testuale del fumetto, che costituisce un caso di studio molto interessate: il suo linguaggio multimodale presenta sfide traduttive specifiche che richiedono un’analisi approfondita. Il presente elaborato si propone dunque di fornire innanzitutto un contributo alla conoscenza e valorizzazione del testo Ferdinand der Reporterhund e che i risultati ottenuti e le analisi condotte possano essere utili per future ricerche e per una migliore comprensione di questo testo.
