The study also investigates the main features and trends of cross-border e-commerce, including its rapid growth and the characteristics of major countries' e-commerce markets. It then delves into China's cross-border e-commerce development, emphasizing its rising transaction scale and dominant B2B mode. Additionally, the analysis extends to the European e-commerce market, examining the macro e-market environment and competition landscape. The study further investigates the development status of Chinese e-commerce enterprises in Europe, focusing on Alibaba's expansion strategy. It discusses Alibaba's history, investments, and motivations for entering the European market, and its development objectives and strategic choices. The implementation and effectiveness of Alibaba's European growth strategy are also assessed. Finally, the essay identifies the challenges and provides suggestions for Chinese e-commerce enterprises' development in Europe. It concludes by offering insights into cross-border e-commerce legislation on transaction subjects and financial support, emphasising the importance of a comprehensive legal framework in facilitating international e-commerce transactions.
