Contratti internazionali e smart contract: un'analisi legale e linguistica

In the thesis are analysed the structures and applications of international contracts and smart contracts, paying special attention to their analysis from the linguistic point of view. The thesis is divided into two main chapters. In the first one, it is provided a definition and a brief explanation regarding globalization, international trade and international contracts. In the last part of this section, there is a section dedicated to the use of the language in the process of drawing-up of an international contract. On the second one, it is provided an explanation of e-commerce marketing, electronic contracts and smart contracts. Special attention is given to smart contracts, since they are an innovative kind of contract. In fact, they are a computer program kind of contract. At the end of the thesis it is opened a discussion on the importance of the relation between the code used to program smart contracts and the language of the original agreement at the basis of the creation of the contract.
