ESILIO E SATIRA: L'UMORISMO NERO DI MAX AUB

That thesis is the final result of a research of the black humour and more specifically of the literature of Max Aub. The thesis has the main goal to find the link between the personal exiled experience of the author and his literary style. After the analysis of the genre and some works of Aub, is possible to find important elements useful to read and understand the literature of Max Aub. The thesis starts with the definition of humour genre and more specifically of the black humour and then it goes on trying to classify the analysed works in macro-categories of “satira” and “burla”. It is necessary to clarify and always keep in mind that this thesis is about the concept of exile and the contact with the Latin America above all with Mexico and which effects this difficult experience has had on his works. For this research I referred to different authors of various areas by using literary textbooks, works and also articles of literary criticism.

Questa tesi è il risultato finale di un ricerca nel genere dell'umorismo nero e più in particolare nella letteratura di Max Aub. La tesi qui presente nasce con l'obiettivo principale di cercare il legame tra l'esperienza personale da esiliato dell'autore con il suo stile letterario. In seguito all'analisi del genere e di alcune opere aubiane si possono scorgere quegli elementi chiave, fondamentali per la lettura e la comprensione della letteratura di Max Aub. La tesi è strutturata partendo dalla definizione stessa del genere dell'umorismo e più in particolare dell'umorismo nero, per proseguire con il tentativo di classificazione delle opere analizzate nelle macrocategorie di satira e burla. Ciò che occorre precisare e tenere sempre presente per tutta la tesi è proprio il concetto che ruota intorno all'esilio e quindi al contatto che l'autore ha avuto con la cultura dell'America latina, soprattutto con il Messico e quali effetti ha avuto la sua turbolenta esperienza nelle sue opere. Per la riuscita di questo lavoro ho fatto riferimento a diversi autori di vari ambiti, servendomi di fonti trovate su manuali, opere e anche articoli di critica letteraria.
