Confronto tra Crisi - Dallo shock petrolifero del 1973 alla guerra ucraina

The paper aims to make a comparison between the 1973 oil crisis and the current situation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In the first part, the 1973 period is analysed, looking at the causes that led to such a development, with a focus on Europe. This is followed by insights into stagflation and the Hubbert curve. The second part follows the evolution of oil and natural gas from the 1970s to more recent years to show how the market has evolved, with an in-depth look at the Italian situation. The third, and last, part deals with the conflict in Ukraine from the point of view of the energy supply of Europe and Italy, showing how they have implemented measures to counter the emergency. Finally, there is an in-depth look at price trends in recent years.

L’elaborato si propone di realizzare un confronto tra la crisi petrolifera del 1973 e la situazione attuale del conflitto tra Russia e Ucraina. Nella prima parte viene analizzato il periodo del 1973, guardando alle cause che hanno condotto ad un tale risvolto, con un focus sull’Europa. A ciò si aggiungono degli approfondimenti riguardanti la stagflazione e la curva di Hubbert. La seconda parte segue l’evoluzione di petrolio e gas naturale dagli anni ’70 fino agli anni più recenti per mostrare come si sia evoluto il mercato, con un approfondimento sulla situazione italiana. La terza, ed ultima, parte tratta del conflitto in Ucraina sotto l’aspetto dell’approvvigionamento energetico di Europa ed Italia, mostrando come queste si abbiano attuato misure per contrastare l’emergenza. Infine è presente un approfondimento sull’evoluzione dei prezzi in questi ultimi anni.
