The aim of this research is to find out what makes a sponsorship a successful strategy, what are its main objectives and how to properly benefit from a successful sponsorship strategy. I will then analyze the example of a leader in the sector: Red Bull, a company that throughout the years has been able to excel in the field of marketing and especially of sponsorships, being able to gain a lot of benefits and notoriety from that. We are all obviously aware that if done well a sponsorship is an effective and profitable strategy, but what I want to study is what makes it so and what distinguishes a successful strategy from one that is not. We are surrounded by sponsorships every day, sometimes without even noticing it, however it is when we notice it, when it captures our attention that is doing its job, but how does a company reach that goal? That is the question this paper tries to answer.
