Fattori individuali e sociali del terrorismo suicida: un'analisi multilivello

This thesis provides an overview of the main factors underlying suicide terrorism. Starting with an analysis of the perspectives that propose individual causes to the problem, such as dynamic psychology or socio-demographic variables, we broaden the outlook on the subject with a social vision able to integrate concepts such as groups, family and identity. Finally, contemporary developments on the problem will also be highlighted, underlining at the end of the discussion the need for an approach as holistic and multilevel as possible.

In questa tesi si offre una panoramica sui fattori principali sottostanti al terrorismo suicida. Partendo con un'analisi delle prospettive che propongono cause di carattere individuale al problema, come la psicologia dinamica o le variabili sociodemografiche, si amplia l'ottica sul tema con una visione sociale in grado di integrare concetti come gruppi, famiglia e identità. Infine saranno anche evidenziati gli sviluppi contemporanei sul problema, sottolineando alla fine della trattazione la necessità di un approccio il più possibile olistico e multilivello.
