This study compares different policies, of different times and countries, applied by governments regarding financial operations and the effective consequences that brought to the population and the private investment. Through the observation of practical examples of the results produced by legal interventions in the domestic and international markets, this research will critically review the scope to which the governments act to regulate and moderate the stock and exchange market aiming to find a possible balance between legal arbitration and auto-determination. From the possibilities of the Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) to the short-lived economic program of Liz Truss in the UK, this research will analyze the positive and negative examples of policies for a sustainable and free financial market. The aim is to return a picture of good and bad management of economic policy instruments through the observation of controversial cases, where the difficulties of being in charge of such sensitive issues surface, underlining the mistakes that have been made in order to lay an ideological path for future generations.
