Bloody Sunday. Dal Widgery Report al Saville Inquiry

This final dissertation deals with the political, social, historical, economic causes which led to the Bloody Sunday. Particular attention was given to the events which occurred on that day and to the parties involved to further analyse why the Bloody Sunday took place. Subsequently the focus was given to the political and social effects that day had on Norther Ireland social and political stability. In conclusion, the two tribunals which looked into the Bloody Sunday were analysed in their characteristics and more specifically attention was given to why it was necessary for another inquiry to take place.

Questa dissertazione si concentra sulle cause politiche, economiche, storiche e sociali del Bloody Sunday. Ulteriore attenzione è stata data alla situazione politica e sociale in Irlanda del Nord in quegli anni e successivamente agli eventi di quel giorno oltre che alle parti coinvolte per dare un ulteriore idea del perché i fatti si svolsero in tale modo. Inoltre, sono state analizzate le conseguenze politiche e sociali di tale evento sulla stabilità politica e sociale in Irlanda del Nord, per ultimo l'attenzione è stata posta sui due tribunali che hanno indagato sul Bloody Sunday e sul perché fu necessario istituire un secondo processo ventotto anni dopo
