Technological advancements and innovation have contributed to the rise of digital labour, offering new possibilities to shape and analyze labour activities. The nature of digital labour brings possibilities for development, but challenges that emerge call for a detailed approach to the subject. In addition, digital labour reshapes the affected society and establishes a new labour organization, challenging preexisting norms. Thus, it is beneficial to showcase how and to what extent work is transformed, contributing to the debates on digital labour from an interdisciplinary viewpoint. By taking into account the economic landscape of transition economies and their course of transition, the aim of the thesis is to determine how are transition economies impacted by digital labour and what future implications it carries for workers. In order to achieve this, the thesis employs a multidisciplinary approach to address the main factors that contribute to the prevalence of digital work in transition economies, as well as to determine the main points of workers’ perception of digital labour. This is achieved through an extensive literature review, interviews and surveys intended for digital workers. By conducting the analysis, the thesis contributes to the pre-existing literature corpus and opens up the possibility to compare and contrast the outcomes with previous studies on digital labour. The evidence suggests that a great degree of similarities exists between regional digital workers, as they represent a homogenous group. However, the research acknowledges the limits of the findings which allow for further research to be undertaken.

Abstract
However, the research acknowledges the limits of the findings which allow for further research to be undertaken.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
