La Teicopolitica e le sue implicazioni nell'epoca globalizzata​

My thesis is about Teichopolitics, that is any kind of policy aimed at creating barriers around the borders of one's own state, region or city to nlock the flow of people or particular goods. In the first chapter I will analyze how Teichopolitics has developed more in the last twenty years leading to the construction of various types of barriers with different purpose and reasons; morevor i will deal, through Wendy Bron's book entitled “The walled states and declining sovereignty”, as the barriers built by the states fi tinto the context of a globalised and mostly democratic world leading to the closure of the states. In the second chapter I will analyse the history of the conflict between Israel and Palestine from the creation of the State of Israel in 1948 to the years 2000, focusing on the main events of the conflict and the political parties that have favored the construction of the Barriers of Separation. After examining the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, in the third chapter, I will describe the Barrier of Separation through the testimonies of the two peoples, using magazines such as “International” and all those movements that were created around the Wall, such as the movements claiming the adjacent territories or the artistic movements that developed to protest against the construction of the Barriers. In addition, I will try to describe the political situation today by trying to understand wheter the Barrier of Separation can be useful or not by analysing its future prospects.​

La mia tesi tratta della Teicopolitica cioè ogni tipo di politica volta a creare intorno ai confini del proprio stato, regione o città delle barriere per bloccare il flusso di persone o di particolari merci. Nel primo capitolo analizzerò come la Teicopolitica si sia sviluppata maggiormente negli ultimi vent'anni portando alla costruzione di vari tipi di barriere con scopi e ragioni diverse; inoltre tratterò, attraverso il libro di Wendy Brown dal titolo “Stati murati e sovranità in declino”, come le barriere costruite dagli stati si inseriscano nel contesto di un mondo globalizzato e per maggior parte democratico portando alla chiusura degli stati stessi. Nel secondo capitolo prenderò in analisi la storia del conflitto tra Israele e Palestina a partire dalla creazione dello Stato d'Israele nel 1948 fino agli anni duemila, soffermandomi sugli eventi principali del conflitto e le parti politiche che hanno favorito la costruzione della Barriera di Separazione. Dopo aver esaminato il conflitto israelo-palestinese, nel terzo capitolo, descriverò la Barriera di Separazione attraverso le testimonianze dei due popoli, usando riviste come “Internazionale”, e tutti quei movimenti che si sono creati intorno al Muro, come per esempio i movimenti di rivendicazione dei territori adiacenti o i movimenti artistici che si sono sviluppati per protestare contro la costruzione di questo. Inoltre, cercherò di descrivere la situazione politica odierna cercando di capire se la Barriera di Separazione può essere utile oppure no analizzando anche le sue prospettive future.​
