La mappa di comunità di Varisella: "ascoltare" il territorio attraverso memorie, azioni, luoghi

Varisella is a small town in the province of Turin nestled at the foot of the Graie Alps and the La Mandria Regional Park. The thesis aims to investigate the relationship that the population has with the territory and with the memory of its traditions, using the tool offered in the anthropological field by English Parish maps. An introduction to the territory, starting with the geographical conformation, passing through some historical and cultural notes, helps to understand the Varisella territory and to better interpret what will be analysed during the fieldwork. An overview is also given of how the concept of landscape has been analysed in social studies and, in particular, in anthropology, in order to investigate its relationship with the populations living in it. The field research and thus the resulting Parish map were carried out through interviews and research on bibliographic sources and developed mainly by analysing what was heard from the informants, highlighting aspects of the territory's past, present and wishes for the future.

Varisella è un piccolo comune nella provincia di Torino incastonato ai piedi delle Alpi Graie e il Parco regionale la Mandria. La tesi si propone di indagare il rapporto che la popolazione ha con il territorio e con la memoria delle proprie tradizioni, utilizzando lo strumento offerto in campo antropologico dalle Parish maps inglesi. Un’introduzione al territorio partendo dalla conformazione geografica, passando per alcuni cenni storici e culturali, aiuta a comprendere il territorio di Varisella e a interpretare al meglio ciò che verrà analizzato in fase di elaborazione della ricerca sul campo. Viene inoltre resa una panoramica di come il concetto di paesaggio sia stato analizzato negli studi sociali e, in particolare, in antropologia, al fine di indagare la sua relazione con le popolazioni che lo vivono. La ricerca sul campo e quindi la derivante mappa di comunità sono state elaborate attraverso interviste e ricerche su fonti bibliografiche e si sono sviluppate soprattutto analizzando quanto ascoltato dagli informatori, mettendo in luce aspetti del passato, del presente e desideri per il futuro del territorio.
