This thesis aims to provide an analysis of popular fiction, from its beginning to its meaning. It will deepen the key dates and ideas that have shaped this literary genre. In addition, the studio will explore the central role of the characters, especially the antagonist. The famous novel, Harry Potter, will serve as an example to illustrate the points raised. Lord Voldemort, the antagonist of history, will be the main focus of this investigation. The goal of this work is to provide a new perception of the famous antagonist of Harry Potter and to make a field survey to ascertain the audience’s perceptions of this peculiar character.

Questa tesi si propone di fornire un'analisi della narrativa popolare, dal suo inizio al suo significato. Approfondirà le date e le idee chiave che hanno plasmato questo genere letterario. Inoltre, lo studio esplorerà il ruolo centrale dei personaggi, in particolare l'antagonista. Il famoso romanzo, Harry Potter, servirà come esempio per illustrare i punti sollevati. Lord Voldemort, l'antagonista della storia, sarà l'obiettivo principale di questa indagine. L'obiettivo di questo lavoro è quello di fornire una nuova percezione sul famoso antagonista del fantasy contemporaneo e di condurre un'indagine sul campo per accertare le percezioni del pubblico di questo personaggio peculiare. ​
