Nell'elaborato si tratterà il tema del telelavoro. Questa innovativa forma di lavoro permette di non dover operare all'interno dell'ufficio centrale e di poterlo fare invece da casa, grazie al supporto di strumenti tecnologici come computer, smartphones e tablet. L'attenzione è posta in particolare sulle problematiche che possono sorgere con la scelta di telelavorare. Nello specifico, dopo aver dato una definizione formale del fenomeno ed averne descritto la diffusione su scala mondiale, si analizza l'impatto che questo può avere sulle relazioni di lavoro e sull'equilibrio lavoro-famiglia. Si individuano infine alcune variabili che possono svolgere il ruolo di mediatrici in tale relazione.
In the following text we start from the analysis of the phenomenon of teleworking. This new work solution enables people to work from a distant location, usually their home, with the help of technology like computers and more recently smartphones to communicate with the people in the office. We focus on the issues that teleworking can create, specifically in the first part we deal with the problem of isolation and the consequences this work decision has on the relationships with colleagues that work in the traditional workplace and their job performance. In the second part we deal with the difficulties telecommuting can create with the definition of temporal, spatial and psychological boundaries between work and family life. In this section we also take in to account some variables that can act as mediators in this relationship.
