Questa tesi nasce dall'interesse di approfondire uno stile di attaccamento, quello insicuro-disorganizzato e di esaminare come tale stile di attaccamento possa essere un fattore di rischio per lo sviluppo, in età adulta del disturbo borderline di personalità.
Nel primo capitolo viene delineata una panoramica della teoria dell'attaccamento, con riferimento a John Bowlby, padre fondatore della teoria dell'attaccamento.Vengono di seguito descritti i tre stili di attaccamento individuati da Mary Ainsworth durante la procedura della strange situation e lo stile insicuro-disorganizzato scoperto invece da Main e Salomon. Proprio suddetto pattern di attaccamento sarà oggetto di analisi del secondo capitolo. La disorganizzazione dell'attaccamento, può aiutare a comprendere il nucleo della patologia borderline in quanto consente di spiegare bene la coesistenza di gravi difficoltà nella regolazione delle emozioni e di rappresentazione di se e degli altri. Offro una citazione di John Bowlby che racchiude al suo interno il fulcro della mia tesi: "Sebbene sia particolarmente evidente nella prima infanzia, il comportamento di attaccamento caratterizza l'essere umano dalla culla alla tomba" cit. This thesis stems from the interest to deepen an attachment style, the insecure-disorganized one and to examine how this style of attachment can be a risk factor for development, in adulthood of borderline personality disorder.
In the first chapter an overview of attachment theory is outlined, with reference to John Bowlby, founding father of attachment theory. The three attachment styles identified by Mary Ainsworth during the strange situation procedure and the insecure style are described below. -disorganized instead discovered by Main and Salomon. Precisely this pattern of attachment will be the subject of analysis of the second chapter. The disorganization of the attachment can help to understand the nucleus of the borderline pathology as it allows to explain well the coexistence of serious difficulties in the regulation of emotions and representation of oneself and others. I offer a quote by John Bowlby that contains the core of my thesis: "Although it is particularly evident in early childhood, the attachment behavior characterizes the human being from the cradle to the grave" cit.
