Questa tesi si pone come obbiettivo quello di analizzare la tecnica e i metodi del ridoppiaggio di due film animati Disney; ¿Lilli e il Vagabondo¿ e ¿Peter Pan¿. Nel primo capitolo vengono presentate brevemente le principali tecniche di traduzione audiovisiva, il doppiaggio e il sottotitolaggio. Nello stesso capitolo verrà introdotto il concetto di ridoppiaggio, con ulteriori esempi di film Disney ridoppiati negli anni. Nel secondo capitolo viene presentato il film Disney ¿Lilli e il vagabondo¿, il quale fu rilasciato in Italia nel 1955 e ridoppiato nel 1997. La versione ridoppiata ha apportato delle modifiche che non sono state apprezzate dal pubblico, in particolare per la scelta dei voice-talents, i quali non sono stati considerati adatti al ruolo di doppiatori. Verranno quindi analizzate nel dettaglio le modifiche che hanno subito i dialoghi, partendo dalle canzoni, alle variazioni linguistiche, al linguaggio arcaico fino ai riferimenti culturali. Nel terzo e ultimo capitolo si introduce il film disney Peter Pan, rilasciato nel 1953 e ridoppiato nel 1987. Anche per questo cartone verranno analizzati nel dettaglio i cambiamenti che hanno subito i dialoghi. Concludono la tesi l'appendice dove è possibile trovare le 2 trascrizioni complete dei film.
The aim of this dissertation is to analyse the methods of redubbing of two Disney film "Lady and the Tramp" and "Peter Pan". The first chapter briefly introduces the main techniques of audiovisual translation, dubbing and subtitling. It investigates the phenomenon of retranslation and redubbing of films, analysing the main reasons of redubbing in detail. The chapter also provides examples of other Disney movies which have been redubbed . The second chapter introduces the Disney animated movie ¿Lady and the Tramp¿, which was released in Italy in 1955 and redubbed in 1997. The redubbed version contains changes that were not appreciated by the audience, in particular the choice of voice-talents, who were not suitable for the role of dubbing actors. The main differences from the 1955 to the 1997 version will be analysed in detail. The changes will focus in particular on songs, language variation, archaic language, lexical choices and cultural references. The third and final chapter will introduce the redubbing of ¿Peter Pan¿, which was released in 1953 and redubbed in 1986. This chapter will analyse in detail the main differences between the 1953 and the 1986 versions. Thanks to Nunziante Valoroso's help, today's blu-ray format contains both dubbing, allowing fans to enjoy the old version and the new one. The appendix contains the full transcripts, which I have accurately transcribed, of the two animated movies in English and Italian.
